My music is on YouTube!
Hi!
Last week someone in a different group posted some sheet music she didn't know, wondering if anyone had heard it. I didn't know it, but I did a very quick arrangement and recording for just an hour or so and sent it to her so she could hear it. Now she's posted a slide show on YouTube, using my recording as background music! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hapJn_Zpz3U Brgds Danny

Hi!
I didn't post anything before, because it was just a simple thing I did quickly, with not much thought whatsoever. Not serious in any way. But here it is: http://dbjorck.dk/Music/Modern Class... Love Song.mp3 Brgds Danny

Hi!
Thank you. I record to a CD recorder, and then move the CD to the PC which is in a different room. There I rip the CD using Windows Media Player. Then I upload it to my webhotel at www.one.com using Filezilla. Brgds Danny

Sins of an elderly musician
Hi!
Thank you for posting the midi version. I didn't know this piece either. The author's main idea is fairly good, but the next development is rather conventional, in my opinion. If you love this late-romantic style, a little bizarre, a little humourous, have you ever tried "Les Péchés de Vieillesse" by Gioacchino Rossini? They are here at IMSLP. I guess they will unleash your fanciful inspiration... Best regards,

Hi!
I've been ill all week, some virus or something. I haven't been able to eat at all, and slept (restlessly) probably 15 hours a day. But this afternoon I started to feel just a little bit better. So I tried out the Rossini you suggested just for kicks. I don't know much of Rossini; in fact I didn't even know he did "album leaves" stuff for piano - but on the other hand, everyone did at the time. I simply tried the first song in the first album, and indeed, it is quite bizarre and comical: Petit Caprice - MP3 Brgds Danny

Hi!
Thank you. Actually, she's done it again! She's posted another slideshow with my playing in the background, this time a waltz by Brahms: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6feYZh6cpsE Brgds Danny

Hi, Danny!
I hope you are quickly recovering your shape. Thank you for kindly giving a shot to my musical advice. You luckily came across one of the most humourous pieces by mature Rossini, and your execution is actually lively and ironical at the same time. As a matter of fact, this last part of Rossini's production should deserve larger popularity. I think plenty of French musicians of late 19th century (such as Bizet in his "Jeux d'enfants" and Saint-Saens in his "Carnaval des animaux", but also Chabrier and Satie) learned a lot from these piano pieces, which are not mere decorative "pièces de salon", but contain many sharply original ideas, for their time. In particular, this Petit Caprice, in Offenbach style, enjoyed a second life when Ottorino Respighi (an old friend of ours ) included it in an orchestral suite, named "La Boutique Fantasque" (i.e. "The Magic Toy Shop") which gave rise to a ballet by Léonide Massine in 1919.Of course it became a French can-can... You may listen to the orchestral version on youtube here starting at 2:50 onward. The muted trumpets are really a genial idea... Best regards,

Brahms Opus 39, N.15
Hi!
I thought it already was in my database of your recordings that I have downloaded over years, but I can't find it. I suppose then it is quite a recent execution of this famous Brahmsian piece, much martyrized by generations of young pianists. Your waving pace, with "accelerando" in the ascending phase and rallentando in the "descending" phase of the melody, is what one needs (at least) to save the interpretation of this composition from the obvious. Well done! Could you post the midi and mp3 versions? Thank you in advance. Best regards,
