jethro tull cover

Well, this is not really a topic, and I dont even know if it is permited to post this kind of things here.

But I just recorded this song in the CVP 409 and I would like to see your opinions.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLr5R...eature=related

I tried to make a dinamic mix but I couldnt find the way to do it after I recorded the vocals. So unfortunately all the instruments have the same volume level during the entire song.

If perhaps this is kind of topic is not alowed in this forum, please let me know and I will delet it.

Regards

Alberto

Sounded good. One thing missing, a flute. I could not hear one if there was one in there. Just add one track with a flute just give the Jethro Tull feel.

Thansks for sharing.

Rock on!

Alberto: Excellent!

Is that you singing?

How do you convert the file to .wmv?

I would like to hear you do some Santana or Brazil '66 on your Clavinova.

Tks a lot for your commentaries. ..Err...yes..it is me me singing...I really would like I could mix better the instrumensts and add some effect for the voice after recording...but I think this not possible with the clavinova.

Although I love the sound and touch of clavinova, I think this is not really a work station in terms of recording multitrack arrangements...its a bit confuse and the logic used its not so friendly. I think this is more a pianist instrument, that must have the ability to record live parts ( I mean, with not so much edition or not so much punch inīs, punch outīs) then a sequencer track recorder.

I tried to make a simple but different arrangement from the original, with a more rithm and blues feeling with some bits of prog and gospell, wich is anyway the felling of the jethro tull recording.

This is the reason of the absence of the flute. Not that I dont like the flute. Besides the pictures of Ian Anderson, It is me on the pictures in the youtube.

I used to be a flute player (really, I am graduated in flute and studied classical and jazz music) but I stopped 4 years ago and I am not a musician (in terms of profession) anylonger.

Again, Tks a lot for your commentaries.

Alberto
