Multi-Track recording

hi guys,

After years of using a Yamaha Motif6 I am trying to get used to my new CVP-409 sequencer.

Does any of you know how to:
=======================
1. Control each track volume ?
2. Set the quantize per song
3. add an intro bar before recording actually starts...

Thanks,

Avivi

Hi,

1, keep pressing the "mixing console" button until you reach the song page and set the volumes at you desire.

2, Go to "digital recording" go to "channel" tab, here you can quantise, its per channel, not per song but it works fairly quickly.

3, don't know, I press the metronome button to get the beat and start recording at the first key pressed.

Kind regards

Eric

May I ask a follow up question...

To control track volume, I would prefer to use a pedal, (I think the FC-7 is the continuous controller pedal that I have). After recording my first track, I would like to be able to adjust the volume on subsequent tracks using the pedal while not affecting tracks already recorded. Currently the pedal affects all tracks. Is there a way achieve what I'm describing?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, Welcome to the cvpug ;-)

You can do the following Volume controll with the fc7 pedal

SONG, STYLE, MIC, LEFT, LAYER and MAIN or any conbination of these

In addition its possible to control lots of other functions

The way to do this is to press the function button and go to the controller page

scroll down to row 4 "AUX:"
select a function (in your case Volume)
change the parameters on the page to your wishes (in your case leave only main and layer in the ON position)

Kind regards

Eric

Just connected my old fc-7 to the cvp, to give it a try

It seems also to respond to the direct access function

So you press the direct access button and move the fc7 pedal, the cvp jumps directly to the controller page
